If your idea of a perfect driving holiday combines beautiful beaches, majestic forests, rugged clifftops and dining on sumptuous fresh seafood, the Great Ocean Road on Australia´s southern coast won´t fail to impress. Located only a hour´s drive from Melbourne, the capital city of Victoria, it´s easy to hire a campervan or car and head out for the trip of a lifetime. The area is crowded with holidaymakers in the peak summer season but if you visit in November or February/March you´ll have the place much to yourself.

The Great Ocean Road is a 243 kilometre stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian towns of Torquay and Allansford.
With awesome views of Bass Strait, there is plenty to see including,  Loch Ard Gorge, The Grotto, London Arch, Bay of Islands and The Twelve Apostles.
Passing through the towns of Anglesea, Lorne, Apollo Bay, and Port Campbell, there are plenty of places to stop for a feed or a drink.
