An iconic structure with once in a lifetime conditions is either coincidence or luck, but both are certainly fine with me in this case! Scripps pier has been the study of many photographers, yet on this night I had it all to myself as I composed this surreal scene that played out well into the early hours just before dawn. With the ocean putting on a neon blue glow show, each splash bounced about with blue light racing and dancing around creating for one of the most memorable captures that I have ever dropped my shutter on. Tridents Gate represents to me a marvel of our world. Something that may well never occur again in my lifetime and signifies a moment where the most perfect of conditions aligned to create a magical moment in time for us all to enjoy.
