Geelong Charters and Fishing Trips has been in operation at Queenscliff since 1998.
Owner/Skipper Steven O’Keefe has extensive knowledge of Queenscliff, Port Phillip Heads and Bass Strait gained from a lifetime of living and fishing the Queenscliff and Bass Strait areas.
Queenscliff is situated inside the entrance to Port Phillip Heads. Snapper, Whiting, Yellowtail kingfish, Calamari squid, Salmon, Flathead and Gummy sharks are in abundance in these very tidal waters. These species can be prolific at different times of the year.
Geelong Charters and Fishing Trips is licensed to carry a maximum of 12 passengers through the rip and into Bass Strait (weather permitting).
Species available in Bass Strait include Mako sharks, Thresher sharks, Gummy sharks, Blue sharks, Snapper, Yellowtail kingfish, Whiting, Flathead, Salmon, Trevally, Couta, Squid and assorted reef species.
Fishing charters depart from Queenscliff or Portsea by prior arrangement.
